December 7, 2010 - Society for Risk Analysis Annual Meeting 2010. Dr. Guidotti will present "A Proposal for the Regulation of Occupational Exposure to Nanomaterials." Dr. Guidotti will discuss the need for a consistent regulatory approach to nanomaterials. There are no clear studies to date that characterize the risks of nanomaterials under reasonable operating conditions; however the extrapolated risk of some resembles that of fine and ultrafine particulate air pollution, which could provide a "peg" by which to anchor a regulatory regime.

November 4-5, 2010 - Dr. Guidotti presented "The Oil Spill and Related Health Impacts on the General Population and Workers" at the HB Litigation Conference held in Miami, Florida. Download the presentation slides
October 4, 2010 - The 28th Annual Scientific Conference sponsored by Occupational and Environmental Medical Association of Canada. Dr. Guidotti presented "Occupational Interstitial Lung Diseases – Current Issues." In his presentation Dr. Guidotti discussed the three historically most common pneumoconioses: asbestosis, silicosis, and coal workers' pneumoconiosis as well as three contemporary pneumoconioses: hard-metal disease, beryllium diseases, and mixed dust pneumoconiosis. He concluded with discussions of common and contemporary hypersensitivity pneumonitides; farmer's lung, humidifier lung, isocyanate-induced , trimellitic anhydride-induced and pyrethrum-induces hypersensitivity pneumonitis. June 22-25, 2010 - Dr. Guidotti jointly chaired the panel session "Hydrogen Sulphide, Health Research and Risk Assessment – Ten Years Later" at the Air & Waste Management Association's 103rd Annual Conference, held in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
May 19-20, 2010 - Assessing Potentially Hazardous Environmental Exposures among Military Populations, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, Bethesda MD. Dr. Guidotti chaired the discussion in "Panel 2" and presented "An approach to event-specific risk assessment".
